Students with potential and imagination have the chance to contribute to Cisco's technological advances through the Cisco Ideathon. Using technologies like 5G, the Internet of Things, networking infrastructure, and collaboration to address global issues related to education, healthcare, water conservation, the environment, and sustainability, it presents a competitive model to demonstrate creative thinking and problem-solving skills. The programme enables Ideathon qualifiers to obtain an internship with chances for full-time employment.
Challenge Journey
•Registration period: 8 June to 6 July 2022
•Online Evaluation (Round 1): July 15, 2022
•From July 18 through July 21 2022 ideas must be submitted.
•25th July to 30th July 2022: Round 2 (Interview). Final results are as of August 1, 2022.
• Actually starting in January 2023, the internship
Eligiility:
There must be a Cisco Networking Academy student.
The following courses must have been completed by the student:
• Introduction to Cybersecurity+ CCNA Module 1 OR Networking Essentials Cybersecurity Cyberops OR Essentials
•Python or Dot net
•Cut-off for CGPA
Judging Norms:
Candidates that succeed in Round 1 will be given a problem description and contacted by Cisco System for an interview; Round 2 consists of an interview and an idea presentation. The following criteria will be used to evaluate the idea presentation:
•Method of problem-solving
•Innovative response
•Potential for a solution
•Communication abilities
Rewards & Perks:
Candidates who succeed in the interview process will be given the opportunity to participate in an internship programme and receive a pre-placement full-time job offer from the Cisco system, which has offices in Bangalore, Karnataka, and Hyderabad, Telangana.
Contest Specifics
The Cisco Ideathon makes sure that only the best project ideas, which are well investigated, well-thought-out, and rationally presented with supporting data-points, are chosen through a competitive process. References and sources used must be identified and acknowledged. The majority of the challenge's questions are at the CCNA level. There will also be an open-book exam covering the most recent technological developments in the industry, which will be submitted as a Powerpoint presentation. You might plan adequately and show up.
There are two phases to the Challenge.
The first stage will consist of a 90-minute online assessment with MCQs and coding. Problem statements will be supplied to the shortlisted candidates, and they will have one week to create an MS PowerPoint presentation as their reply.
How to Participate:
Students who have been shortlisted will be sent a link to the online assessment.
Your contribution must have all necessary information in order to be eligible, as specified on the registration site.
There is a total admission cap of one per person. any effort to use several or different accounts to submit more than the allowed number of entries.
There will be no appeal or review of Cisco's judgement; it will be final.
About Internship
All chosen applicants will receive a 6-month internship offer from Cisco and be eligible to receive a full-time job offer from Cisco. The employment offer includes a number of performance requirements that must be met in order to accept it. As part of this, you will be competing for an internship.
Guaranteed Stipend:
At Cisco, the pay and benefits are very competitive. You will receive the information when you are offered an internship or a job.
Job Location
Bangalore and Hyderabad are the locations of the internship positions, but in some circumstances, full-time employment may be available.
